“Though if love was an animal, Garret knew, it would probably be the Loch Ness Monster. If it didn’t exist, that didn’t matter. People made models of it, put it in the water, and took photos. The hoax of it was good enough. The idea of it. Though some people feared it, wished it would just go away, had their lives insured against being eaten alive by it.”
Three Days of Sound, a short film by Elliott Sellers, with music by Calvin Markus. “A middle aged, anti-social writer lives his life in seclusion. Tall, open windows in his apartment allow him to observe the bizarre world around him. He documents his thoughts and dreams onto paper with his IBM Selectric. One day, a pesky distraction catches him off guard and
he is thrust into pure agony; the complete loss of his hearing in
three days. He struggles to find meaning, as the mysteries of himself
and the secluded universe around him unfold before his eyes.”
