“Though if love was an animal, Garret knew, it would probably be the Loch Ness Monster. If it didn’t exist, that didn’t matter. People made models of it, put it in the water, and took photos. The hoax of it was good enough. The idea of it. Though some people feared it, wished it would just go away, had their lives insured against being eaten alive by it.”

Three Days of Sound, a short film by Elliott Sellers, with music by Calvin Markus. “A middle aged, anti-social writer lives his life in seclusion. Tall, open windows in his apartment allow him to observe the bizarre world around him. He documents his thoughts and dreams onto paper with his IBM Selectric. One day, a pesky distraction catches him off guard and
he is thrust into pure agony; the complete loss of his hearing in
three days. He struggles to find meaning, as the mysteries of himself
and the secluded universe around him unfold before his eyes.”

quoteWhen I think about Seattle, I think about people who are very professional and clean and intelligent going home to apartments where everything is in Helvetica font. When they take off their pants, they have choads. A choad is a penis whose width is the same as its length. Having choads makes them think less about sex and focus more on creating beautiful streets and buildings and drinking coffee and subscribing to literary journals. I think in environments of a lot of coffee, lower levels of poverty than average, and higher subscription rates to obscure literary journals people start having choads. It feels logical somehow.

quoteThe standard diet of a meat-eater is blood, flesh, veins, muscles,
tendons, cow secretions, hen periods and bee vomit. And once a year during
a certain holiday in November, meat-eaters use the hollowed out rectum of a
dead bird as a pressure cooker for stuffing. And people think vegans are
weird because we eat tofu?

quoteIt is a subject which makes me sick with horror, so I will not say another word about it, else I shall not sleep tonight.
